Diane M. Hicks, 68, of Little Genesee, NY, passed away on July 20, 2024. Born on February 20, 1956, in Jamestown, Diane was the cherished daughter of Michael and Audrey White Emules.
She married the love of her life, Joseph “Joe” H. Hicks, Jr., on December 23, 1997, who predeceased her on February 21, 2014.
Diane's journey began at Maple Grove High School in Jamestown, after which she embarked on a varied career. She worked at Petri’s Cookies and Red Wing Co. in Dunkirk, but found her true calling as a bus driver for Laidlaw Bus Transportation in Chautauqua County. She loved playing darts, singing karaoke, and was a devoted pet lover, especially to her dogs. Her heart swelled with happiness during family gatherings for barbecues, bonfires, and picnics. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment with them.

In addition to her husband Joseph and her parents, Diane was predeceased by her son Timothy Holland in 1972, her sisters Susan Gard in 1994 and Kathleen Walz in 2020, her brother James Baker in 2022, her special “Mom” Beatrice Emules, and her husband’s parents Joseph and Shirley Hicks.
